How it started
More than 50 years ago, Arie den Haan (1950–2024) took his first steps as a wheel builder. In a small garage behind his house, he discovered his true passion: crafting spoked wheels for street bikes, cars, and especially motocross bikes.
In the early years, Arie frequently encountered issues with Maico motocross wheels while racing them himself. Driven to find a solution, he developed an innovative, improved method for lacing them. And from that moment on, his business took off.
Top racers soon flocked to the workshop in Schijndel, including the legendary HRC Honda Factory team. By 1995, Haan Wheels took a monumental step forward, engineering our very first complete wheelset featuring our own custom Haan Wheels hubs for the Kawasaki Factory Racing team. This marked the official beginning of our journey to supply premium, race-ready wheels to riders worldwide.

From Schijndel to the World
Over the years, Haan Wheels has continued to grow. While many changes and advancements have been made, some things never change—our absolute dedication to quality remains exactly the same.
After relocating several times to accommodate our growth, we are now operating out of a newly built, state-of-the-art facility spanning over 1,500 square meters. To serve our global customers efficiently, we maintain a massive inventory of more than 8,000 rims and 300,000 spokes.
Today, Haan Wheels are exported worldwide, from Europe to Japan, Australia, Thailand, Canada, the USA, and beyond. Trusted by the elite, our wheels have carried the world's best teams and riders to more than 35 World Championships, as well as countless European and national titles across both professional and amateur racing divisions.

Haan Wheels hubs are CNC machined and manufactured in the Netherlands using the latest technology.
Engineered to withstand the massive impacts of professional racing, each hub is machined from a single piece of premium 6082 T6 alloy. To ensure flawless precision, all hub dimensions are automatically measured in the machine during production, completely eliminating manufacturing errors.
Every wheelset is assembled and tested by our elite wheel specialists. The very same builders who prepare wheelsets for factory racing teams build yours. No compromises.

Continuing the Haan Family obsession
In 2002, Arie den Haan handed over management of the company to his son, Rob den Haan. Today, Rob's and Haan Wheels' core focus is building complete wheels for Offroad, Adventure and Supermoto motorcycles, though we continue to craft exceptional wheels for classic and street bikes as well.
